Jambukeswarar Temple
About the Temple

The outer wall of the fifth enclosure runs for more than 1.6 km and stands over 7.6 m high. Legend says Shiva helped build it as a labourer.

- Seven gopurams
HR&CE lists seven towers, including the West Rajagopuram, the Mallappan tower near the elephant hall and the Sundara Pandiyan tower on the east side.
