Vaikunta Ekadasi at Tirumala: Vaikunta Dwara Darshan

On Vaikunta Ekadasi, TTD opens the Vaikunta Dwaram, the passage around the sanctum, and devotees believe that passing through it brings the Lord's special blessing. TTD now keeps it open for ten days, and the first days go only to devotees who won an online token.

What happens

  1. Watch TTD's own site for the announcement. Last season TTD took online registrations for about five days, then picked devotees by an electronic draw (e-DIP).
  2. If you win a token, reach the entry point at Tirumala only on your allotted date and time slot.
  3. Without a token, plan for the later days and join the free Sarva Darshan queue; in 2025-26 that meant 2 to 8 January. TTD asks devotees to check its crowd updates first.

When to go

Vaikunta Ekadasi falls in Dhanurmasam, in December or January. In 2025-26 TTD opened the Vaikunta Dwaram from 30 December to 8 January.

Can I go without a token?

Last season, yes, but not on the first three days. From 2 to 8 January devotees without tokens joined the Sarva Darshan queue.
