About Navagraha Temples Tour
Visit the nine planetary shrines of the Kaveri delta from Kumbakonam. This Suriyanar-first route separates devotional order from road order and gives the outlying temples enough time across two days, with a third day available for a slower family visit.
The Navagraha temples in Tamil Nadu are dedicated to the nine planetary deities – Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu. Visiting these temples is believed to reduce planetary doshas and bring harmony, health and prosperity into life.

Questions Visitors Ask
In which order should we visit Navagraha temples?
This route starts at Suriyanar Kovil and follows neighbouring clusters. The traditional planetary list is Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu; that list is not proof of a mandatory road itinerary.
Can we visit all Navagraha temples in one day?
One-day itineraries exist, but nine queues and the outlying drives make them demanding. Use two days locally, or three for elders and longer worship; add travel from your home city separately.
Can I take a Navagraha temple tour in 2 days from Kumbakonam?
Yes, two days is our planning baseline, subject to each temple's opening windows and queues. Keep both nights in Kumbakonam and move unfinished stops to a third day if needed.
